For my ancient hard drives, this item is useless - wrong # of pins - not worth returning.
The capacitor blew on one of the unit and it took out that unit and the other unit that was attached to the same power strip. Stay away from Sabrent enclosures. It killed two of my had drives with years for information and memories I can never get back. Tried contacting their tech support, but no response. Spend couple more bucks and buy something you won't regret.
So far, I have no problem with it. I choose this item because of the lowest price. In fact I've purchased 2 same items in the past, so this is my 3rd enclose I have. It is light weight, simple to use, solid aluminium case. The cable quality looks a bit cheap, but it works.
send me the one without wire, exchange with restocking fee, i'm totally unhapy with it, is it my fault.
Works well, costs roughly half as much as the "low-end" enclosures you'll find at the big box stores. Doesn't do much to muffle the noise of the hard drive, but that's a minor nit as far as I'm concerned.
